Verify a privacy receipt

This recomputes the unkeyed SHA-256 digest of the receipt’s canonical metadata, entirely in your browser. The digest is stored inside the same file, so MATCH means only that the file is internally consistent. Anyone able to edit the metadata can also recompute the digest and produce another MATCH — so this cannot prove originality, history, authorship, identity, issuer, authority, recipient acceptance, time of existence, or tamper resistance, and it is not a zero-knowledge proof, Midnight proof, or on-chain verification. Nothing you paste or upload leaves this page.

  • MATCH — the stored fingerprint equals a fresh digest of the current metadata.
  • CHANGED — the stored fingerprint no longer matches the current metadata.
  • INVALID — the file fails the supported receipt structure and format checks.
