About Midnight Lens

The flow

Request → Interpret → Inspect → The Margin → Prepare the minimum → Privacy Receipt. The Margin is the pause and decision screen immediately before you choose what to share. It is a screen inside Midnight Lens, not a separate product. Nothing is preselected for you, and Midnight Lens never sends your prepared response anywhere.

What it does

• · Reads a plain-English data request you type in and matches sensitive categories locally.
• · Separates a narrow fact (such as an age threshold) from the raw record behind it.
• · Lets you approve a minimum, withhold the rest, or decline outright.
• · Prepares a minimum-disclosure response locally and issues a metadata-only privacy receipt.
• · Verifies any Midnight Lens receipt’s SHA-256 fingerprint in the browser.

What it does not do

• · It does not verify your identity, age, income, or any other fact.
• · It does not send anything to a recipient. You choose whether and how to hand over a response.
• · It does not monitor your device, browser, or network — only the request you enter here.
• · It does not connect to Midnight Network, generate proofs, or write to any chain.
• · It does not store, upload, or analyse what you type. Nothing is kept after you clear the session.

Sample scenario

A clearly labelled fictional age-check scenario is included so the flow can be explored without typing a real request. Its recipient is invented and no real document or person is involved. The main path accepts your own request and produces real local results.

Midnight relationship

Designed for a future Midnight proof adapter. Current V1 runs locally in your browser.

Midnight Network is the planned privacy and proof infrastructure. Midnight City is at most an unconfirmed future showcase possibility and is not a dependency of this product.
